Box Score SYRACUSE, N.Y. - 
Daniel Ruiz (Stamford, Conn.) scored both goals in the Owls' 2-1 victory over Le Moyne Tuesday afternoon.  With the victory, Southern Connecticut State University improves to 7-0 (5-0 NE-10) while the Dolphins fall to 6-2 (3-2 NE-10).
Ruiz scored in the 69th minute to break a 1-1 tie.  Kevin Joslyn (Norwalk, Conn.) got the ball on the right end line and flipped it over goalkeeper Ben Beaury's head.  Ruiz was able to run under the pass and deflect it into the net for his second goal of the game and third of the season.  Le Moyne started off the scoring in the 21
st minute when Fabian Egger toe-tipped a cross from James Goodridge past the right side of 
Noah Varonier (Miller Place, N.Y.). Ruiz responded just four minutes later, scoring off a free kick from 25 yards out.  
This is the second straight game in which an Owl player has scored two goals.  
Markus Jacobsen (Oslo, Norway) scored two goals in Saturday's 3-0 win over Merrimack.
The game was even throughout, with SCSU getting just a few more chances overall.  Southern outshot Le Moyne 12-9, but the teams matched shots on goal with five.  Fouls and corner kicks were also relatively even; Le Moyne outdid Southern in both, 8-6.  
The Owls remain on the road for their next game this Friday against Stonehill at 4 p.m.
