Tyler McFarland quickly gave Bentley the lead back with a three-pointer on their next trip down the court.

The Owls stormed out of the locker room and began the second half on a 10-1 run, staking out to a 53-47 lead. The Falcons then ran off six straight points to tie the game, before Desmond Williams sank one of his three three-pointers, which was followed by a Deshawn Murphy (Hamden, Conn.) three, helping the Owls up their lead to 59-55.

Back-and-forth action followed, until Southern grabbed the lead for good with 7:46 remaining, following a layup from Mallory, making it 71-70. Desmond Williams then sank three free throws after being fouled on a three-point attempt, upping the lead to 74-70.
