Men's Soccer Ends In A 1-1 Tie Versus Saint Rose

Men's soccer ended in a 1-1 tie versus Saint Rose this evening.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Southern Connecticut State University men's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw this evening against the College of Saint Rose.

TEAM RECORDS: SCSU (6-4-2, 4-3-2 NE-10); SAINT ROSE (5-6-1, 3-5-1 NE-10)

SECOND HALF
Sophomore Sean Black (London, England) recorded his second goal on the year off a header assist from senior Christian Samaniego (Toronto, Ontario) in the 83rd to take a 1-0 lead. Ryan Rooney would score the equalizer in the 85th minute to tie the game at 1-1.

SECOND OVERTIME
Both teams would play to a 1-1 tie.

OWLS' OFFENSE
The Owls outshot Saint Rose, 14-3.

GOALIE PLAY
Sophomore Noah Varonier (Miller Place, N.Y.) tallied two saves. Varonier is 6-4-2 on the year.
