FIRST HALF
Sophomore
Weens Simon (Fort Myers, Fla.) scored the first points of the game at the 14:28 mark to give the Owls an early 1-0 lead. Brown would carry the scoring load for the remainder of the first half, with back-to-back goals where junior
Lucas Saunders (Middletown, Conn.) assisted on both. SCSU took a commanding 3-0 lead heading into halftime.
SECOND HALF
Stonehill's Adam Branco found the back of the net in the 56th minute to trim the deficit, 3-1. Saunders would continue his stellar play by scoring his first goal on the year, off an assist from freshman
Jan-Malte Thesenvitz (Rostock, Germany) at the 63:02 mark. Junior
Sabri Akter (Unionville, Conn.) closed out the game with his fourth goal on the year, as the Owls went on to defeat Stonehill, 5-1.
HIGH POWERED OFFENSE
SCSU accumulated a total of 12 shots from seven different players. Junior
Louis Greenway Tambini (Nottingham, England) led the team with a total of five shots. Simon led the team in assists with two.

THE GOALIE
Junior
Noah Varonier (Miller Place, N.Y.) picked up four saves on five shots on goal, improving his overall season record to 7-6-2. Through 15 games, the junior has recorded a total of 55 saves, ranking him fifth in the Northeast-10 Conference.
