The Owls dominated from three-point range in the first half, shooting 53.8 percent on 7-of-13 shooting. Luckett, Jr. scored 11 of his game-high 21 in the first half along with five boards. Sophomore

Michael Mallory (Waterbury, Conn.) recorded eight points and four assists. The Owls held a 43-34 halftime lead.
THE CLOSEOUT
SCSU carried an 11-point lead with 7:45 to play in the game. The Golden Knights would go on an 18-7 run to tie the game at 66 all with 40 second to play. Luckett, Jr. would score the game-winning basket with 18 seconds to play to give the Owls a 68-66 lead. The Golden Knights would try and take the lead with a three-point shot from Jamaal Greenwood, but was no good. The Owls would hold on to secure a 68-66 win.
ANOTHER MILESTONE ACHIEVED
After his 20-point performance against Saint Rose,
Michael Mallory eclipsed 2,000 career points. The senior has a total of 2,002 career points and counting.
