ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. - Junior Jerry Luckett, Jr. (Milwaukee, Wisc.) scored 16 of his 22 points in the second half as the Southern Connecticut State University men's basketball defeated Molloy College, 85-78 this evening.

FIRST HALF
SCSU shot 66.7 percent from the field (22-of-33) in the first half, resulting in 55-46 halftime lead. Senior Michael Mallory (Waterbury, Conn.) scored 23 of his game-high 25 points in the first half on 8-of-11 shooting (5-of-8 from 3-point range). Freshman Taurus Adams II (Milwaukee, Wisc.) scored all of his nine points in the first half in eight minutes of play.

SECOND HALF
With 11:09 to play, the Owls maintained a 14-point lead, 74-60. The Lions trimmed the deficit to two points off a layup from Jaylen Morris. The Owls' defense would spark a 7-2 run to close out the game, securing its seventh win on the year.

CONTROLLING THE PAINT
SCSU tied its season-high with 48 points in the paint. 

JERRY LUCKETT, JR.
For the third time this season, the junior recorded a double-double tallying 22 points on 9-of-16 shooting along with 12 rebounds in 29 minutes of play.
