The Southern Connecticut State University men's basketball team will play three games this week beginning on Monday, Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. against Molloy College, followed by two Northeast-10 Conference showdowns against Pace University on Wednesday, Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m. and Le Moyne College on Saturday, Dec. 10 at 3:30 p.m.
ALL-TIME VS. MOLLOY COLLEGE
SCSU is 1-0 all-time versus
Molloy College. Both teams played for the first time on November 9, 2013 where the Owls soared to a 93-75 win.

Michael Mallory (Waterbury, Conn.) scored 17 points on 7-of-9 shooting.Â
SCOUTING THE LIONS
The Lions (3-5, 0-1 East Coast Conference) have wins over Philadelphia University, Florida Southern and Adelphi. Molloy has three players scoring in double figures in seniors Charlie Marquardt (23.9 ppg and 3.3 rpg) Jaylen Morris (17.6 ppg and 7.5 rpg) and Mike Guzzardi (12.0 and 7.3 rpg). Both, Marquardt and Morris are the top two scorers in the ECC. The Lions rank fourth in the ECC in both scoring (79.0 ppg) and points allowed (82.5ppg).Â
ALL-TIME VS. PACE
Pace holds a 21-13 all-time record over SCSU. The Owls defeated the Setters twice last season.

Michael Mallory poured in a game-high 29 points and nine assists.
Game 2 - SCSUÂ 74, Pace 69 - Sophomore
Joey Wallace (Rochester, N.Y.) scored 10 points and a career-high, eight assists.
SCOUTING THE SETTERS
Pace (4-4, 1-3 NE-10) stands sixth in the NE-10 Southwest Division. The Setters have wins over Georgian Court, Felician, Post and AIC. Pace has three players scoring in double figures in sophomores Ryan Peterson (12.3 ppg and 5.3 rpg), Mike Demello (11.6 ppg and 2.8 rpg) and junior Victor Jusino (11.0 ppg and 4.3 rpg). Pace ranks last in the NE-10 in both scoring (65.5 ppg) and points allowed (66.6 ppg).
ALL-TIME VS. LE MOYNEÂ
Le Moyne leads the all-time series versus the Owls with a record of 18-19. SCSU defeated Le Moyne in both of its meetings last season.

Austin Carter (Bloomfield, Conn.) recorded 12 points, nine rebounds, two blocks and two steals.
Game 2 - SCSU 83, Le Moyne 70 -
Michael Mallory scored a game-high 27 points.
SCOUTING THE DOLPHINS
Le Moyne (5-3, 2-2 NE-10) stands fourth in the NE-10 Southwest Division. The Dolphins have wins over Concordia, Molloy, Pace, LIU Post and Adelphi University. Le Moyne ranks sixth in the NE-10 in both scoring (69.9 ppg) and points allowed (68.0 ppg). The Dolphins are led by sophomore C.J. Asuncion-Byrd (12.6 ppg and 2.6 rpg). Le Moyne has four players scoring in double figures.
LAST TWO GAMES
SCSUÂ secured two wins last week against the University of New Haven and Saint Rose.Â

Austin Carter poured in 17 of his 19 points in the first half as the Owls held off a late UNH rally to secure its fifth win on the year.Â

Jerry Luckett, Jr. (Milwaukee, Wisc.) scored the game-winning basket with 18 seconds remaining.
MALLORY BECOMES OWLS ALL-TIME LEADER IN POINTS
After a 30-point performance against AIC, Mallory passed Rich Radicioni as the program's all-time leading scorer with 1,938 career points and counting.

Michael Mallory (25.9 ppg) currently ranks fourth in the country in scoring.

After his 20-point performance against Saint Rose,
Michael Mallory has upped his career point total to 2,002 points and counting, ranking 15th all-time in NE-10 history. Mallory is nine points shy of 12th all-time in the NE-10.Â

Austin Carter is three blocks shy in becoming the program's second all-time leader in blocked shots, trailing Trevon Hamlet (188).Â
THE SOPHOMORESÂ
Joey Wallace is fifth in the NE-10 Conference in assists with 4.9 apg and ranks third on the team in scoring with 13.3 ppg.Â
Isaiah McLeod (Cambridge, Mass.) is averaging 9.8 ppg and has scored over 10 points in six of the Owls' eight games this season.Â
NE-10 RANKINGS
The Owls rank first in both offensive rebounding (13.5 rpg) and blocks (5.0 bpg), second in both rebounding (39.6 rpg) and free throw percentage (78.2) and third in points per game (83.5 ppg). SCSU stands in first place in the Southwest Division with a conference record of 4-0.

Michael Mallory set a new SCSU single-season program record with 95 three-pointers made last year and is also currently the Owls' all-time leader in three-pointers made with 286 and three-point attempts with 734. He also holds Southern's single-game scoring record with 47 points in a January, 2016Â

TOUGH PLACE TO PLAY
Moore Field House has been a tough place to play for the Owls who are 39-8 (.829) at home since the start of the 2013-14 season. SCSU has been even better in NE-10 action with a 32-2 mark (.941) in league games.
FACING SOME TOUGH COMPETITION
The Owls will face five teams that reached the NCAA Division II Tournament a year ago – Bentley, Holy Family, Southern New Hampshire, Stonehill and Saint Anselm.
RECENT SEASON-OPENING SUCCESS
The Owls have been victorious in their last six season-opening games dating back to the 2010-11 season, defeating Molloy, Goldey Beacom, Post, Chestnut Hill, Dominican and Dowling.
THRIVING IN THE CLASSROOM
For the second year in a row, the Southern Connecticut State University men's basketball team was recognized by the National Association of Basketball Coaches as a recipient of the 2015-16 Team Academic Excellence Award for its success in the classroom. In addition, five members of the team were selected as honorees for the 2016 NABC Honors Court -Â
