OWLS SET FOR SOUTHWEST DIVISON REMATCHThe Southern Connecticut State University women's basketball team returns to Moore Field House for a Northeast-10 Conference Southwest Division re-match against Adelphi University on Saturday afternoon.

SCOUTING ADELPHI• As of Wednesday, the Panthers are tied with Southern Connecticut and Le Moyne College in the Southwest Division with a league record of 7-7.
• Adelphi and Southern Connecticut have the same overall record of 14-8.
• Adelphi is coming off a double overtime victory against Assumption, 78-76.
• Sierra Clark leads the team averaging 13.7 points while shooting 46.1 percent from the floor.
• On the road, Adelphi averages 55.1 points per game as well as shooting 34.9 percent from the floor, 28.8 percent from behind the arc and 66.4 percent from the free throw line.
• The Panthers are second in the league in steals per game (8.5) and is third in the league in blocks per game (4.0) and opponent field-goal percentage (36.0 percent).

BEATHEA MOVES UP IN SCSU RECORD BOOKAfter posting a combined 28 points last week for the Owls, senior 
Jackie Beathea remains seventh (out of 20) in the all-time points category with 1,387. 
BEATHEA REACHES 13 DOUBLE-DOUBLESLast week, 
Jackie Beathea recorded back-to-back double-doubles against Assumption and Bentley. In both games she recorded 14 points and 14 rebounds.
GROSSBARD SETS NEW CAREER-HIGHIn the win against Assumption, senior 
Nicole Grossbard set a new career-high 11 assists.  The last time an Owls' had 10+ assists in a game was by Anabel Perdomo back on February 24, 2004 at Le Moyne.

Jackie Beathea helped the Owls to a 1-1 week as she recorded back-to-back doubles against Assumption and Bentley. In a win against Assumption, she posted 14 points and 14 rebounds before registering 14 points, 14 rebounds, an assist, three blocks and a steal in a loss against Bentley.

BEATHEA SETS NEW SCSU SINGLE GAME-HIGHIn the win against the Eagles, 
Jackie Beathea set a new SCSU single game-high in rebounds with 22. She posted 10 rebounds in the first half and 12 rebounds in the second half.
BEATHEA RECORDS 1,000 CAREER REBOUNDOn January 2, 2016, 
Jackie Beathea recorded another major achievement as an Owl as she recorded her 1,000th career rebound at Le Moyne. Following this accomplishment, she now leads SCSU in the all-time records books in rebounding.

LYNCH NOTEKate Lynch '08 begins her first full season as head coach for the Southern Connecticut State University women's basketball team. Lynch has compiled a 81-65 overall record as a head coach. Lynch remains the all-time leading scorer in Owls' history (1,779 points) and ranks fifth all-time in rebounds (650).

LOOKING BACK ON THE SEASON THAT WASThe Southern Connecticut State University women's basketball team closed the regular season with 14 wins and qualified for the Northeast-10 Conference Tournament. The Owls had one student-athlete recognized by the league with year-end honors.
BEATHEA NAMED ALL-NE-10For the third year in a row, 
Jackie Beathea earned All-Conference honors after an impressive season as she led the Owls in scoring with 384 points and rebounds with 323. She also recorded 16 double-doubles.
AMONG THE NE-10 LEADERSAmongst the returners, the Owls had three players finish in the top five of Northeast-10 Conference participants in four categories.

Jackie Beathea finished No. 1 in rebounds per game, pulling down 11.1 per contest.

EXCELLING IN THE CLASSROOMSouthern Connecticut had 11 student-athletes selected to the Northeast-10 Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll for their work in the classroom during the 2014-15 academic year.
