Le Moyne got things started in the top of the first scoring a run off a single down the right field line to take the early lead, 1-0.
In the bottom of the third, Southern Connecticut rallied together to take its first lead of the day 2-1 as Wichmann began the inning with a single down the left field line before advancing to second as Uccello was walked. With no outs, Southern Connecticut kept the threat alive, loading the bases following an infield single by DeRosa. Lamberti brought in the first run of the day off his sacrifice fly to center before Joyce brought home Uccello following a sacrifice bunt to the pitcher. With two outs, Southern Connecticut's threat was still alive as DeRosa and senior
Jake Lieberman (Commack, N.Y.) were in scoring position, but senior
Jake Paul (Kingston, N.Y.) would record the final out of the inning with a strikeout.
Over the next five innings, both pitchers kept each other quiet until the top of the ninth as Le Moyne tied the game, 2-2, before scoring the game-winning run in the top of 11th to take game one, 3-2.
GAME TWO: Le Moyne 10 | SCSU 5

Similar to game one, Le Moyne struck first scoring a run in the top of the second to take the early 1-0 lead, but Southern Connecticut would tie the game in the bottom of the third thanks to an RBI double from Hart to allow DeRosa to come home.
However, Le Moyne would regain the lead over the Owls after scoring back-to-back runs in the top of the fourth and fifth inning to put the Dolphins up two, 3-1.
Southern Connecticut was kept quiet on offense until the bottom of the seventh as Hart had another huge at-bat and allowed two runs to score to tie the game again, 3-3.
In the top of the ninth, Le Moyne found its groove and scored seven runs on six hits to take a commanding 10-3 lead over the Owls. Southern Connecticut could only play catch-up in the bottom of the ninth as the Owls could only score two runs to cut the lead in half, 10-5, before recording the final out.
