The Southern Connecticut State University men's soccer team will host two games this week beginning with the University of Bridgeport on Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 7 p.m., followed by Saint Michael's College on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 1 p.m.
 
ALL-TIME VS. BRIDGEPORT
The Owls lead the all-time series versus Bridgeport with a record of 34-14-2. Both teams squared off last season where Bridgeport captured a 2-0 victory.

ALL-TIME VS. SAINT MICHAEL'S COLLEGE
SCSU leads the all-time series with a tally of 13-2-3. Last season, Saint Michael's defeated the Owls in overtime, 1-0.

FIRST THREE GAMES
SCSU 2, Dominican College 1
Senior captain Christian Samaniego (Toronto, Ontario) connected for the game-winning goal in the 63rd minute to give the Owls its first win on the year.

Junior Louis Greenway Tambini (Nottingham England) scored the Owls only goal of the game in the 86th minute.

Le Moyne College 1, SCSU 0 (2 OT)
In the its conference opener against Le Moyne College, SCSU fell short in double overtime.

SCSU was picked fifth in the NE-10 preseason coaches' poll.

IN THE NSCAA POLLS
The Owls were among those receiving votes in the first NSCAA national poll of 2016 and were ranked No. 7 regionally in the first weekly poll.

THE CAPTAINS
Head coach Tom Lang has named Christian Samaniego and Alex Soriano team captains for the 2016 season.

WELCOME TO THE CLUB
The Owls welcome 12 newcomers to the squad for the 2016 season, including graduate student Danilo Andrade, juniors Lucas Saunders and Morrice Baker, and freshmen Blaise Haba, James Foster, Connor Bradley, Jan-Malte Thesenvitz, Alex Ramirez, Devante Teixeira, Zak Wright, Kyle Baron and Ian Shannon.

LOOKING BACK AT 2015
The Owls finished the 2015 season with a 9-7-1 record and qualified for the Northeast-10 Conference Tournament.

ON DECK
The Owls are back in action on Sept. 21 against New Haven.
