Following a 2-0 week, the Southern Connecticut State University women's volleyball team looks to continue its winning ways as the Owls open up Northeast-10 Conference play this week against Assumption College on Tuesday and the College of Saint Rose on Friday. The Owls will wrap up the week on Sunday as LIU Post comes to town for a non-conference clash.

NE-10 TEAM RANKINGS
As a team, Southern Connecticut ranks:
- third in total blocks (65) and service aces (68).
- fourth in service aces per set (1.74).
- first in solo blocks (23).
 
JADUS AND VAZQUEZ RANKS AMONGST NE-10 LEADERS
- Leanna Jadus ranks second in the league, along with AIC's Diva Rivas, with 131 total kills.
- Gabriela Vazquez ranks fifth in the league with 0.46 service aces per set.

TAYLOR TIES CAREER-HIGH IN BLOCKS
Sean Taylor tied her career high seven blocks (four bs/three bs) in the win over Queens last Tuesday. Taylor set her career-high in blocks back on Sept. 6, 2014 against NYIT.

NIMZ SETS A NEW SEASON-HIGH IN ASSISTS
Alexandra Nimz tallied a new season-high 45 assists in the win over Queens last Tuesday. She was just four assists shy of tying her career-high 49.

JADUS RECORDS SEASON-HIGH IN DIGS
In the win over Queens, Leanna Jadus tallied a season-high 17 digs, just three shy of tying her career-high 20.

JADUS NAMED CT ARMY NATIONAL GUARD / SCSU ATHLETE OF THE WEEK (9/19)
For the second time this year, Leanna Jadus was named th CT Army National Guard / SCSU Female Athlete of the Week. Jadus powered the Owls to a 2-0 week with non-conference wins over Bloomfield and Queens. She narrowly missed a double-double in the first game against Bloomfield with nine kills and 12 digs. Jadus then followed that up with 19 kills and 17 digs in a thrilling five-set win over Queens. She finished one off her career high in kills in that match and was also one attack attempt away from matching her own program single-game record (68 attempts).
