HOW IT HAPPENED: This was a game that the Owls never trailed in, and, except for the opening tip and a 5-5 tie, never trailed, either. The Greyhounds trimmed the gap to a single point in the closing minutes, but SCSU held on for the win.
AN IMPRESSIVE SHOWING AGAIN: For the second time this year, the Owls held an opponent without a field goal for an entire quarter. Tonight, they limited the Greyhounds to just two free throws in the second frame. The Owls also held Dominican without a field goal in the fourth quarter of that game earlier this year.
CRASHING THE BOARDS: In addition to the 11 boards from Steinauer,
Taylor McLaughlin (Colchester, Conn.) also had 11 rebounds in the win.
GETTING DEFENSIVE: The Owls have now held their opponents to 50 or fewer points in each of the past three games, all wins.
