NEW HAVEN, CONN. – The No. 20 nationally ranked Bentley University women's basketball team scored the final seven points of the game to turn a four-point deficit into a 70-67 win over Southern Connecticut State University on Saturday.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS

Taylor McLaughlin (Colchester, Conn.) had a team-high 22 points for the Owls. Kiana Steinauer (Oakville, Ontario) tallied a double-double with 15 points and had a career-high 16 rebounds. Maria Weselyj (Marlborough, Conn.) recorded 17 points for the Owls.

HOW IT HAPPENED: It was a close game throughout, with 16 lead changes and 10 ties. Neither club led by more than seven points in the game. The Falcons led by four points after one frame and five points at the break. Southern used a 17-6 run in the third quarter to take a brief lead, but Bentley went back in front by a bucket after three quarters.
In the final frame, SCSU used a 13-4 run to build a 67-63 lead with 1:03 remaining. However, the Owls wouldn't score the rest of the way.
