HOW IT HAPPENED
The Yellow Jackets opened the scoring off a penalty kick at 20:12 of the first half. AIC would hold their lead into the second half until
Nicolas Colodrero (Zaragoza, Spain) struck off of a free kick from
Ignasi Cererols (Barcelona, Spain) to tie the game at 55:54.
PERFECT TIMING TAMBINI
Greenway-Tambini scored a pair of goals in the second half to give the Owls the lead. His first goal came at 71:13 when he broke away from the Yellow Jackets defense and blasted a shot past the goalie on the left side. His next one, the eventual game-winning goal, would come 76 seconds later when he broke through the defense and slotted the ball through the right side to increase the Owls lead to two.
In a last attempt effort to catch SCSU, the Yellow Jackets notched their second penalty kick goal of the game, cutting the Owls lead in half, 3-2. Their attempt was not enough as the Owls were able to capture the victory and extend their unbeaten streak to nine games.
