NEW HAVEN, Conn. – For the second straight home contest, four different players recorded double digit dig totals and three had double digit kill performances as the Southern Connecticut State University volleyball team posted a 3-1 win over AIC in a key Northeast-10 Conference contest tonight.

Leanna Jadus (Long Beach, Calif.) notched with a game-high 17 kills and added 23 digs, her 14th double-double of the year.

Gabriela Vazquez (Meriden, Conn.) posted her 10th double-double of the year with 12 kills and 18 digs.

Alexandria Jurgens (Cornwall, N.Y.) recorded her 10th double-double of the year with 22 assists and 10 digs.

Alyssa Gage (Beverly Hills, Fla.) posted 14 kills.

Alexandra Nimz (Littleton, Colo.) had 27 assists and six digs.

Anna Venard (Thornton, Colo.) recorded a game-high 27 digs.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Owls appeared on their way to a win in game one. SCSU had leads of 19-12, 21-16 and 24-22 before AIC rallied to claim a 29-27 win.
Game two was a close affair, with the final tie coming at 20-20. SCSU scored four straight points from there, only to have AIC rally for three straight. Jadus capped the game with a kill to even it up at 1-1.
Game three saw the Owls pull away late, as they turned a 15-13 deficit into an eight-point win with a 12-2 spurt.
SCSU snapped a 3-3 tie and led by as many as eight points in the final game to capture the game and the match.
