NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Southern Connecticut State University women's swimming and diving team competed against Iona in the 2017-18 season opener today.
NOTABLE FINISHES
- The quartet of
Katherine Crochet (Watertown, Conn.),
Megan Garner (Hamden, Conn.),
Sydney Fromkin (Sharon, Mass.) and
Emily Wolfe (Havertown, Pa.) recorded a first place finish in the 400 freestyle relay.
- Freshman
Alina Tucker (Bellmore, N.Y.) took first in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:01.56, and the 500 freestyle with at time of 5:28.49.
- Crochet tallied a pair of second place finished in the 50 freestyle with a time of 24.96 and 100 freestyle with a time of 54.75.
- Wolfe finished second in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:02.62.
- Senior
Lilly Martin (Bristol, Conn.) claimed second place in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:17.02.
