NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Southern Connecticut State University men's swimming and diving team ousted Pace in NE10 action today with a score of 152-119.
TOP FINISHERS:
Junior
Tyler Prescott (Meriden, Conn.) led the Owls with three first place finishes in the 100 backstroke with a time of 53.33, the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:55.00 and the 400 Individual Medley with a time of 4:18.83.
Senior
Tyler Vander Vos (South Windsor, Conn.) claimed two first place finishes in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:43.66, and in the 50 freestyle with a time 21.94.
The Owls round out the top three in the 100 freestyle of Vander Vos, sophomore
Leonardo LaPorte (Washintonville, N.Y.) and freshman
Bryce Murad (New Haven, Conn.) with times of 48.28, 48.56 and 50.39.
Murad registered a second place finish in the 50 freestyle with a time of 22.36, ousted by senior teammate Vander Vos.
The Owls dominated the 200 butterfly with a first and second place finish sophomore
Max Padro (West Haven, Conn.) beat his teammate LaPorte with a time of 1:58.18, LaPorte claimed second place with a time of 2:00.64.

The Owls are back in action tomorrow as WPI visits Hutchinshon Natatorium, the meet is set to begin at 4 p.m.
