Kiana Steinauer (Oakville, Ontario) collected her first double-double of the season as the Southern Connecticut State University women's basketball squad defeated Saint Rose 66-47 in NE10 conference action tonight at Moore Field House.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- A powerful start for the the Owls allowed them to take an early lead in the game, jumping on the board with 19 points in the first quarter. The second quarter saw the Golden Knights outscore SCSU 11-9, but SCSU still led by seven going into half.
- A strong second half by SCSU allowed them to take a commanding lead over Saint Rose in each of the final frames, where they scored 18 points and 20 points, respectively.
- Steinauer and Williams both had successful nights at the free throw line where both of them went 3-for-4 to help boost the Owls offense to earn their first conference win and win of the season.
UP NEXT
The Owls will travel to Syracuse, N.Y. for a 1 p.m. showdown with the Le Moyne Dolphins.
