Isaiah McLeod (Cambridge, Mass.) registered his third career double-double as he tallied a career-high 28 points along with 10 rebounds to lead the Southern Connecticut State University men's basketball team to an 82-78 win over No. 24 Merrimack.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Warriors led by as many as 10 points at 25-15 with 8:43 left in the first half. The Owls went on a 20-9 run to take a one-point lead with two minutes left in the first half. The first half would end with the game deadlocked at 40 on the heels of a McLeod three at the buzzer.
The Owls kept their first half momentum going in the second half with a 7-0 lead to start the second half. The lead went back and forth from there, but a McLeod jumper with 3:24 left gave the Owls the lead for good. A dunk by
Luke Beesley (Champaign, Ill.) in the final 90 seconds stretched the lead to two possessions and SCSU went on to finish out the game with a 82-78 win, its first of the season.
