HOW IT HAPPENED
- Defense was the name of the game for the Owls tonight as a tight defense reduced the scoring opportunities for UNH at Charger Gymnasium. SCSU collected 39 rebounds to protect their lead throughout as they never trailed at the conclusion of a quarter.
- The Owls took the lead in the opening 90 seconds, and, aside from one tie, led the rest of the way. The Owls went on a 14-3 run to end the first quarter and build an 11-point lead. The advantage ballooned to 16 points at the break and was 18 points after 30 minutes.
- SCSU led by as many as 30 points in the final quarter and went on to the 26-point win.

The Owls will travel to Garden City, N.Y. on Saturday for a conference matchup against the Panthers of Adelphi. Tip off for this matchup is set for 1:30 p.m.
