NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. - The Southern Connecticut State University men's soccer team dropped a 3-1 decision to No. 2 seed Merrimack in the semifinal round of the NE10 Tournament.

WHAT HAPPENED:
Merrimack struck early in the 11th minute of the game off a low shot from outside the 18 yard box to beat the Owls keeper. Merrimack kept this lead until the 66th minute where the Owls let in another from outside the 18 yard box to double the Warriors lead midway through the second half.
The Warriors would add another in the 71st minute of play to bring the score to 3-0. The Owls would not give up though as Senior
Sabri Akter (Unionville, Conn.) would score off a cross from junior
Dylan Hogan (Wallingford, Conn.) in the 88th minute to cut the Warriors lead down to two. Merrimack would hold on to the lead to solidify their place in the NE10 Tournament Finals.

The Owls will wait until the NCAA selection show to learn if it has earned a bid into the field.
