Bernard Brantley (Stratford, Conn.) recorded a collegiate career-high in points as the Southern Connecticut State University men's basketball team claims a 69-64 decision over Dominican College.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Owls started off strong with a quick 9-2 run in the first two minutes of play, with five points coming from captain McLeod. The Chargers would respond with a 14-3 run to take a 16-12 lead midway through the first half.
-The Owls took back the lead with an 8-0 run, off 3-pointers from Brantley and
Jesper Sandager (Kongens Lyngby, Denmark). Southern finished with an eight point lead going into halftime, 41-33.
-The Owls would stay in front for the rest of the game, with the lead being no smaller than three points the rest of the way. The Owls took control of the game when they went on an 11-4 run with six minutes left in the half to hold off a Dominican surge.
-The key stat of the game was the Owls 3-point shooting as they shot 46.7 percent compared to Dominicans 19.2 percent. The Owls bench was a key factor as they outscored the Chargers 24-7.
-The Owls have gone 5-1 in their last six games and are currently on a three game win streak.
