CALDWELL, N.J. - The Southern Connecticut State University men's basketball team dropped a 74-70 decision to Caldwell.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Cougars led early pulling out to a six point lead, 25-19. But a late surge from the Owls, as they outscored the cougars 14-8, would tie the game at 33 going into halftime.

The dynamic duo of McLeod and Luckett led the Owls as they each scored 11 points in  the first half. 

A hard fought affair as there were seven ties and five lead changes and neither team led by double-digits in the entire game.

Caldwell free throw shooting won the game as they went 8-for-10 in the final minutes of play to make it a two possession game. This would prove to be too much for the Owls to overcome as they dropped a 74-70 decision to Caldwell.

The Owls host the University of the Sciences on Dec. 19, with tip off set for 3:30 p.m.
