Amanda Pfohl (Trumbull, Conn.), the Southern Connecticut State University women's basketball team was edged by AIC in overtime tonight, 77-68.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS
HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Yellow Jackets started strong as they led for almost the entire first quarter and held a 13-11 lead after 10 minutes.
- AIC stretched its lead to 10 points in the second quarter thanks to a 10-2 run. However, the Owls answered with a 12-4 run to tied the game at 25 with 2:19 left in the first half. The Yellow Jackets would go into halftime with a one point lead, 30-29.
- Both teams had leads the third quarter, but the squads went into the final 10 minutes tied up at 41-41.
- AIC scored the first five points of the fourth quarter, but SCSU countered with a 14-4 run for a 55-50 lead with 4:12 left. The Owls led for the next four minutes until AIC hit two free throws with 15 seconds left to even the score at 59-59. The Owls had two final chances to win in regulation, but neither fell through and the teams went to OT.
- In the extra frame, AIC created some distance with a 5-0 spurt and held on from there for the win.
