OWLS KICKOFF SEASON AT HOME
The Southern Connecticut State University men's soccer team opens the 2017 season on Aug. 31 with a home game against Mercy at 7 p.m.

RETURNING OWLS
The Owls have 14 returning players from the 2016 campaign. In addition, the Owls returning field players accounted for 51 percent of the goals from last year, including six tallies from All-Conference pick

VARONIERÂ KEY TO OWLS DEFENSE
Senior
Noah Varonier started all 17 games for the Owls in his junior year. He posted a 1.44 GAA last season and is a three-year starter for the Owls.
PETKE NAMED REAL SALT LAKE HEAD COACH
Former Southern Connecticut State University All-American and 2017 SCSU Hall of Fame inductee Mike Petke was named head coach for Real Salt Lake of Major League Soccer.
