Alexandra Nimz (Littleton, Colo.) and junior
Leanna Jadus (Long Beach, Calif.), the Southern Connecticut State University volleyball team captured a 3-1 win over Concordia (N.Y.) tonight.

LOOKING AT THE NUMBERS
- Jadus posted a game-high 17 kills and added 14 digs, while Nimz had a game-high 27 assists and contributed 10 digs.
- In total, five Owls reached double figures in digs.
Jennifer Dawson (Clinton, Conn.) and
Nicole Hauser (Stevens Point, Wisc.) each tallied a team-high 16.
Anna Venard (Thornton, Colo.) added 14 for the Owls.

Alyssa Gage (Beverly Hills, Fla.) and
Jillian Chambers (Shelby Township, Mich.) each added nine kills. Gage posted a .563 hitting percentage, while Chambers narrowly missed a double-double with eight digs.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Owls completed dominated game one, leading from start to finish. SCSU jumped out to a 14-1 advantage and rolled to the 14-point win.
- The hosts jumped out to an early lead in game two, only to have Concordia rally and build a 14-10 lead. From there, the Owls scored nine of the next 11 points and went on to claim a six-point win.
- Concordia led for most of game three, including by as many as eight points at 11-3. The Owls chipped away and took a brief lead late at 21-20, only to have Concordia score five of the final seven points to force game four.
- The final game was close early on, but the Owls forged ahead at 11-10 and never trailed from there, leading by as many as nine along the way.
