NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Southern Connecticut State University men's soccer team beat Assumption with a late comeback to pull off a 3-1 victory.

FIRST HALF
The Greyhounds struck first in the 11
th minute of the game, an early cross was headed in off the left post, 1-0. It was an exciting first half with plenty of opportunities for both team with 11 shots in total, but the scoreboard stayed 1-0 Greyhounds led going into the half.
SECOND HALF
The Owls outshot the Greyhounds 13 to 3 in the second half, but remained scoreless with ten minutes left in the game. In the 80

Zak Wright (East Haddam, Conn.) scored a header off a freekick from freshman
Ignasi Cererols (Barcelona, Spain) to tie the game. This late goal sparked the Owls as they created another chance five minutes later from a corner kick where freshman Kevin Van Der Pol (Drammen, Buskerud, Norway) got on the end of Cererols cross to put the Owls up, 2-1.
With less than five minutes left in the game southern would score a third from senior Louis Greenway-Tambini (Nottingham, England) off a low cross from
Ignacio Navarro to put the Owls up by two with three minutes left in the second half.
Greenway-Tambini's goal would complete the Owls comeback and secure the win to remain undefeated in the NE10 conference.
