Ulyen Coleman (Brockton, Mass.) tallied a career-high 27 points as the Southern Connecticut State University men's basketball team dropped a 89-81 decision to Franklin Pierce this evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Franklin Pierce opened the scoring with a 10-5 lead in the first five minutes of the game. The Owls would find their groove as they counterattacked with a 12-3 run to give SCSU a four-point lead with 12:37 remaining in the first half.
-The Ravens would go on a 9-2 run to jump ahead of SCSU and give Franklin Pierce a 10-point lead with 4:23 remaining in the first half . A late surge from the Owls would cut the Ravens lead down to five points, 38-33 at the half.
-The Owls pulled within one point of the Raven but were unable to gain the lead in the second half. The Ravens would go on a 9-4 run midway through the second half to give themselves a ten point cushion. Another late surge from the Owls, where they went on a 10-3 run would bring them within four points of the Ravens but the lead would prove to be too much for SCSU as Franklin Pierce would go on to win 89-81.

The Owls will head to Waltham, Mass. on Saturday to face Bentley University, with tip off set for 3:30 p.m.
