The Southern Connecticut State University women's swimming and diving team is preparing to host The College of Saint Rose on Jan. 19 at 5 p.m. and Marist on Jan. 20 at 1 p.m.

QUINTET EARNS NE10 WEEKLY HONORS
Five members of the Southern Connecticut State University swimming and diving team
Hannah Morse,
Lilly Martin,
Emily Wolfe,
Katherine Crochet and
Isabel Williams earned weekly recognition from the NE10 for their performances against LeMoyne. Morse, Martin, Wolfe and Crochet claimed first place in the 200 medley relay to finish with a time of 1:52.88, earning the title of NE10 Relay of the Week. Crochet and Williams were both named to the NE10 weekly honor roll.

The Southern Connecticut State University women's swimming and diving team placed eighth in the WPI Invitational.

CROCHET NAMED NE10 SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
Katherine Crochet was named the NE10 Swimmer of the Week on Nov. 14. She registered three first-place finishes in the 50, 100 and 200 freestyle against Pace. She posted times of 24.71 in the 50, 53.18 in the 100 and 1:57.52 in the 200. The senior recorded two more top finishes in the 50 and 100-yard freestyle with times of 24.67 and 53.77, respectively, in a win over WPI.

The Southern Connecticut State University women's swimming and diving team registered a 159-140 victory over WPI.

REIGNING NE10 CHAMPS
The Owls won their 11th NE10 championship in 14 years at last year's conference championship in the closest finish in league history. In all, the Owls have finished in the top three of every single NE10 Championship.

TWO OWLS EARN NE10 ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM HONOR
Jennifer Belanger and
Emily Wolfe were both named to the NE10 Women's Swimming and Diving All-Academic Team for their work in the classroom and the pool last year. Each played a key role in helping the Owls claim the 2017 NE10 Championship.
CSCAA LAUDS OWLS AGAIN
The Southern Connecticut State University women's swimming and diving was recognized with Scholar All-America Team honors by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America. The Scholar All-America Team honors those institutions that have achieved a minimum GPA of 3.0 during the spring semester. The Owls finished with a team GPA of 3.23.

SCSU is back in action on Jan. 26 to host the University of Bridgeport at 4 p.m.
