HOW IT HAPPENED
-The first four minutes of the game saw four ties until the Owls broke away with a 7-0 run to take a 15-8 lead. The Falcons would fight back with two quick three-pointers to shrink the Owls lead down to one point.Â
-The Owls offense then exploded going on a 22-8 run in the final seven minutes of the first half to give them a 17 point lead going into halftime.
-SCSU continued their scoring barrage as they brought their lead to 25 points in the opening minutes of the second half. However, the Falcons chipped away at the Owls lead for the rest of the half coming within five points of the Owls with 1:21 left in the game. But late free throws by the Owls would put the game out of reach for the Falcons.
-The difference in the game was the Falcons turnovers as they turned the ball over 22 times compared the the Owls 11.
