HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Warriors jumped out to an early 9-6 lead and stretched their cushion to 15-10. However, the Owls would respond with a 9-0 run of their own to give them a 19-15 lead.
- A late Warrior surge - a 17-4 run - in the last five minutes of the first half gave the hosts a 38-32 at the intermission.
- The Owls went on a 10-5 run to start the second half to bring them within one at 50-49 with 11 minutes left. The Owls were back within a point at 54-53 with 7:04 left. From there, the Warriors slowly pulled away, thanks in part to their three point shooting. Merrimack made 12 in the game from behind the arc compared to just one for the Owls.
