STORRS, Conn. – The Southern Connecticut State University men's swimming and diving team placed second in the meet against the University of Connecticut.

NOTABLE FINISHERS

• The quartet of Tyler Castellone (South Windsor, Conn.), Drew Dantino (Waterbury, Conn.), Leonardo LaPorte (Washingtonville, N.Y.), and Bailey Peters (Rutland, Vt.) placed fourth in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:39.55.
• LaPorte finished third in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:49.04.
• Max Padro (West Haven, Conn.) took third in the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:58.93.
• Tahj Mitchell-Westberry (Middletown, Conn.) claimed first place in the 1-meter and 3-meter dive with a score of 205.12 and 220.87..
• Padro placed third in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:21.46.
• Graeden Sartoris (South Windsor, Conn.), Matt Widlar (Middlebury, Conn.) and Dantino placed the top three spots in the 400 IM with times of 4:34.21, 4:35.40 and 4:43.01.
• The quad of LaPorte, Padro, Peters and Tyler Cusano (Hamden, Conn.) took first place in the 400 freestyle relay with a time of 3:19.29.
