NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – The Southern Connecticut State University men's swimming and diving team scored 81.5 points in the meet against Iona College.

NOTABLE PERFORMERS

• The quartet of Tyler Castellone (South Windsor, Conn.), Drew Dantino (Waterbury, Conn.), Leonardo LaPorte (Washingtonville, N.Y.) and Bryce Murad (New Haven, Conn.) finished third in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:39.18.
• LaPorte took first place in the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:57.37 and second in the 100 butterfly with a time of 52.06.
• Evan Bombery (Naugatuck, Conn.) placed third in the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 10:24.77.
• Castellone placed third in the 100 freestyle with a time of 56.44.
• The team of Murad, Max Padro (West Haven, Conn.), LaPorte and Greg Rodriguez (Madison, Conn.) finished second in the 400 freestyle relay with a time of 3:18.07.
• Murad tied for first place in the 100 freestyle with a time of 48.58 and finished third in the 50 freestyle with a time of22.00.
• Tahj Mitchell-Westberry (Middletown, Conn.) was first in the 1-meter dive and  with a score of 231.75 and 254.17.
• Matthew Widlar (Middlebury, Conn.) finished third in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:21.94.
