Men's Swimming and Diving Completes Tri-Meet Against WPI/Coast Guard

WORCESTER, Mass. - The Southern Connecticut State University men's swimming and diving team competed against Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Coast Guard in today's tri-meet.

NOTABLE FINISHERS
  • The duo of Bryce Castellone (South Windsor, Conn.) and Gaeden Sartoris (South Windsor, Conn.) claimed  third and fourth place in the 1000 meter freestyle with times of 10:12.29 and 10:17.00, respectively.
  • Max Padro (West Haven, Conn.) took first place in the 200 meter butterfly with a time of 1:57.49, while teammate Leonardo LaPorte (Washingtonville, N.Y.) placed fourth with a time of 1:58.98.
  • Tahj Mitchell-Westberry (Middletown, Conn.) nabbed first place in the 1-meter dive and 3-meter dive with scores of 262.50 and 252.55, respectively.
  • John Gaudio (Cheshire, Conn.) finished in fifth place in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:02.96.
  • Padro placed second in the 100 meter butterfly with a time of 52.47.
  • The quartet of Greg Rodriguez (Madison, Conn.), Robert Nagy (Newington, Conn.), Tyler Cusano (Hamden, Conn.) and Bailey Peters (Rutland, Vt.) came in fourth in the 200 meter freestyle relay with a time of 1:30.63.
