The Owls Out Swam Pace, Claim 120-115 Win

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Southern Connecticut State University women's swimming and diving won their home opener against Pace University, 120-115 at Hutchinson Natatorium.

NOTABLE FINISHERS

The quartet of Hannah Morse (Loveland, Colo.), Nicole Cislo (Wallingford,Conn.), Emily Waehler (Oxford, Conn.), and Morgan Fernald (Belfast, Maine) finished in 1st place in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:57:36.
Jordan Thompson (Campbell Hall, NY) came in 1st place in the 1000 yard freestyle event with a time of 11:00.76.
Avery Fornaciari (Plymouth, Mass.) and Jordan Thompson placed 2nd and 3rd in the 200 yard freestyle event with respective times of 1:59.26 and 2:03.16.
Alina Tucker (Bellmore, NY) finished in 2nd place in the 50 yard freestyle event with a time of 25.54.
Erin Leirey (Lake Katrine, NY), Lauren Spencer (North Haven, Conn.), and Rebekah Lockery (Stamford, Conn.) claimed the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place positions in the 400 yard individual medley event with times of 4:50.46, 4:52.51, and 4:53.41.
Isabel Williams (Woodbury, Conn.) placed 2nd in the 1-meter diving event with a finals score of 170.00.
Fornaciari and Emily Wolfe (Havertown, Pa.) clinched the first and second place positions in the 100 yard butterfly discipline. Fornaciari had a time of 59.78 and Wolfe finished with a time of 1:02.70.
Tucker and Fernald finished in 2nd and 3rd place in the 100 yard freestyle event with respective times of 54.87 and 58.46.
Morse took 1st place in the 100 yard backstroke discipline with a time of 1:03.15. Spencer finished 3rd with a time of 1:03.89.
Lockery won the 500 yard freestyle event with a time of 5:23.29.
Williams placed 2nd in the 3-meter diving competition with a final score of 190.90.
Cislo and Lockery claimed 2nd and 3rd place with respective times of 1:12.14 and 1:13.08 in the 100 yard breaststroke competition.
The group of Tucker, Wolfe, Leirey, and Fornaciari came in 3rd place in the 200 yard freestyle relay event with a time of 1:43.68.
