MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Southern Connecticut State University baseball team lost the final game of its four-game trip to South Carolina, 3-2, to Wilmington University.

KEY PERFORMERS
- Tyler Criscuolo (Branford, Conn.) registered three hits and one RBI.
- Ethan Joyce (Exeter, N.H.) notched three hits and a RBI.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Wildcats scored two early runs in the first inning to go up 2-0. The Owls responded in the third off a Criscuolo RBI double that would score John Spoto (Stamford, Conn.) to make it 2-1.
-The game would remain the same until the bottom of the eighth inning when Joyce singled to left field to score Robert Schryver (Ansonia, Conn.) and even the contest.
- Wilmington would score one in the top of the 11th to claim a victory.

The Owls will host the University of Bridgeport on March 2, with the game set to begin at 3 p.m.
