HOW IT HAPPENED
-Ten total turnovers in the first eight minutes kept it a low scoring affair, but the Owls were able to pull out to an 18-7 lead.
-SCSU ended the half with a 10-4 run in the final 5:45 causing five turnovers in the process. The Owls went into the half up 33-16.
-AIC came out and scored the first four points of the second half, the Owls would respond with a 11-2 run over the next three minutes to extend the lead to 12 points.
-The Owls continued to cruise for the remainder of the game to give them their sixth win in a row, which is their longest win streak so far this year.
NOTABLE FACTS
-SCSU recorded their largest victory margin of the year with this 23 points in win.
-The Owls defensive effort kept AIC below 50, which is the first time they have allowed under 50 in a game since February 4
th, 2015 against UNH.
-Southern caused 18 turnovers to give them the 70-47 win.
