HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Yellow Jackets opened the game going on a 9-2 run in the first two and a half minutes of play. AIC finished the first frame with an 11-point lead over the Owls.
 
- Southern turned up the offense in the second frame as they went on an 11-2 run to narrow the deficit coming within two points of the Yellow Jackets lead to five at halftime.
 
- The third quarter saw AIC jump ahead by 11-points in the opening minute and a half, but the Owls began to chip away at the Yellow Jackets lead and came within three points before AIC's offense found their second half groove.
 
- For the first two minutes of the final frame both teams were scoreless. The Yellow Jackets offense in the opening and closing frames proved to be the deciding factor as the Owls fell to AIC 63-51 in Springfield.
