NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Despite an offensive outburst from junior
Tyler Criscuolo (Branford, Conn.) the Southern Connecticut State University baseball team dropped two to No. 11 Le Moyne College, 8-2 in game one and 12-5 in game two.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Le Moyne took a 1-0 lead early in the first but the Owls responded with a run after Criscuolo grounded out to score Palmer and even the game one apiece. The Dolphins continued to score in the second as they notched three runs to take the lead 4-1.
- After three scoreless innings, the Dolphins scored one run in the sixth, seventh and eighth to increase their lead 7-1. SCSU scored one run in the bottom of the eighth when Palmer doubled to right field to bring in
Mike Giordano (Norwalk, Conn.) and cut into the Dolphins lead. Le Moyne added one more run in the ninth and eventually claimed the 8-2 win.

- Criscuolo batted 3-for-4 with one homerun, tallied 3 RBI and scored two runs.
- Palmer recorded two hits in game two.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Owls opened the scoring off a wild pitch that brought in Criscuolo. Le Moyne then scored seven unanswered runs with three in the second and four in the fourth to take a 7-1 lead.
- Southern fought back in the fifth as they scored four runs that brought them within two of the Dolphins.
Nick Lamberti (East Haven, Conn.) singled allowing
Mike Giordano (Norwalk, Conn.) to score and cut the Dolphins lead to five. With runners on the corners, Criscuolo blasts a three-run homerun to left field to complete the Owls four-run inning.
- Le Moyne pulled away with the lead after they scored one in the sixth, three in the seventh and one in the ninth to claim a 12-5 win.
