NEW HAVEN, Conn. -
Lukas Szymecki (Wethersfield, Conn.) scored the game-winning goal in overtime to push the Southern Connecticut State University men's soccer team past the University of Bridgeport in a 2-1 thriller.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- After a scoreless first half, the Owls broke the deadlock in the 46th minute on an own goal off a corner kick from
Ignasi Perez Cererols (Zaragoza, Spain) to take a 1-0 lead. Bridgeport tied the game at one in the 69th minute off a free kick, 1-1.
- Southern sealed the win in the 95th minute as
Dexter Tenn (South Windsor, Conn.) crossed the ball from the right side to the chest of Szymecki who slotted the ball past the goalkeeper to give the Owls its first win of the 2018 season.
