SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Southern Connecticut State University men's swimming and diving team claimed a 154-133 win against Le Moyne College.
 
NOTABLE FINISHERS
  • The quad of Max Padro (West Haven, Conn.), Leonardo LaPorte (Washingtonville, N.Y.), Tyler Cusano (Hamden, Conn.), and Greg Rodriguez (Madison, Conn.) placed first in the 400 freestyle relay with a time of 3:14.81.
  • The quartet of Bailey Peters (Rutland, Vt.), Drew Dantino (Waterbury, Conn.), LaPorte, and Rodriguez took first in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:37.64.
  • Tyler Steskla (Cheshire, Conn.) finished first in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 10:03.85.
  • Two Owls finished in the top three in the 200 freestyle, Evan Bombery (Naugatuck, Conn.) came in first with a time of 1:49.36 and Zachary Fell (Seymour, Conn.) placed second with a time of 1:51.76.
  • Peters nabbed first place in the 100 backstroke with a time of 54.95 and LaPorte claimed second with a time of 56.57.
  • Padro finished second in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:00.66, Dominic Papiro (Southbury, Conn.) came in third with a time of 1:04.97 and Bryce Castellone (South Windsor, Conn.) finished fourth with a time of 1:05.22.
  • Castellone took first place in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:00.82.
  • Rodriguez placed first in the 50 freestyle with a time of 22.45, Peters finished third with a time of 22.69 and Cusano came in fourth with a time of 23.10.
  • John Gaudio finished first in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:01.26, Cusano placed third with a time of 2:10.19 and Castellone claimed fourth with a time of 2:10.49.
  • Matthew Widlar (Middlebury, Conn.) claimed first place in the 200 IM with a time of 2:04.81 while teammate Dantino grabbed third with a time of 2:07.26.
