Box Score NORTH EASTON, Mass. - The Southern Connecticut State University men's basketball teamed dropped an 85-78 decision to the Stonehill Skyhawks. The Owls fall to 10-8 overall and 4-6 in the NE10 while the Skyhawks improved to 11-6 overall and 5-5 in the NE10.
Isaiah McLeod (Cambridge, Mass.) led the Owls with 19 points after hitting 7-of-12 from the field and 3-of-5 from beyond the arc while also collecting five rebounds and two assists. C.J. Seaforth (Hamden, Conn.) collected 14 points after converting on 6-for-9 from the floor. Luke Beesley (Champaign, Ill.) recorded 15 points and eight rebounds in the game. Ulyen Coleman (Brockton, Mass.) registered his first career double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds along with three assists and Kealen Ives (Providence, R.I.) tallied 12 points and five assists.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Owls got out to an early 7-1 lead over the Skyhawks with Seaforth scoring five of the Owls seven. The hosts chipped away at Southerns lead and eventually took a 16-14 lead at the 11:07 mark.
- Stonehill increased their lead to 36-28 with four minutes to go in the half. The Owls went on a 10-2 run to tie the game with 1:03 remaining but a three-pointer by Stonehill gave them the lead going into halftime.
- Through the first seven minutes of play in the second half the Skyhawks increased their lead to nine, 57-48. Southern chipped away at the Skyhawks lead to take a 70-69 lead.
- However, the Skyhawks pulled out to a seven-point lead with 1:29 left in the game.

- Five owls scored double-digit points: Seaforth (17), Beesley (15), McLeod (12), Coleman (12) and Ives (10), The last time five Owls hit double-digit points was on Jan. 2, 2019 against LIU-Post.
- Ulyen Coleman recorded his first double-double of his collegiate career, including a career-high in rebounds with 14.
