NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Southern Connecticut State University men's basketball squad defeated No. 24 Nationally Ranked Bentley University, 100-88 at Moore Field House. The Owls improve to 12-8 overall and 7-5 in the NE10, while the Falcons drop to 15-5 overall and 8-5 in the NE10.
Isaiah McLeod (Cambridge, Mass.) collected a career-high 33 points, seven rebounds, three steals and two assists while going 6-for-6 from the free throw line. McLeod's seven three-pointers were also a season high.
Kealen Ives (Providence, R.I.) notched a career-high 29 points and a game-high eight assists, while going a perfect 12-for-12 from the charity stripe.
C.J. Seaforth (Hamden, Conn.) collected 22 points, five assists and a game-high four steals. The Owls were also a perfect 24-for-24 from the free throw line, which stands as the most free throws in a game without a miss in program history.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Falcons came out on an 11-6 run to start the game before the Owls countered with an 9-2 run to take a 15-13 lead.
• Southern went on a 9-2 run to take a double-digit lead at the 3:02 mark, 38-27. The Owls went into halftime with a 46-34 lead.
• The Owls started the second half on fire, outscoring Bentley, 24-9 run in the first six and a half minutes of play to go up 70-46, for their largest lead of the game.
• A late Bentley surge allowed them to come within five points of the Owls with 4:37 left in the game, 83-78.
• However, great free throw shooting from the Owls sealed the 100-88 win over the nationally-ranked Falcons.

Isaiah McLeod collected a career-high 33 points. His previous career-high came on Jan. 20, 2018 against Bentley when he had 32.
•
Kealen Ives notched a career-high of 29 points. His previous career-high came on Jan. 15 against Saint Anselm when he had 27.
• This is the second-straight game that the Owls scored 100 points in a game following a 100-89 win against Franklin Pierce on Wednesday, Jan. 23. It is the sixth time in program history that SCSU has scored 100 points in back-to-back games, with the last time coming during the 2015 season.
• The Owls' 24-for-24 showing at the free throw line is the most free throws without a miss in a game in program history. It is also the second time that SCSU shot 20-or-more free throws in a game without a miss and the first time since the Owls were 20-for-20 at the charity stripe against Pace on Nov. 25, 2014
