The Southern Connecticut State University volleyball team will kick off the 2019 SCSU Homecoming festivities Friday, Oct. 18, when they welcome the Falcons of Bentley University to Pelz Gymnasium for a "Battle of the Birds" matchup at 7 p.m. The Owls are looking to bounce back after falling 3-1 to non-conference opponent Daemen on Sunday, Oct. 13, while the red-hot Falcons are coming off a 3-1 victory over Assumption on Oct. 15 to remain undefeated in Northeast 10 conference play.

The Owls' Last Time Out
- The Owls fell to Daemen, 3-1 on Oct. 13.
- Jen Dawson, who nabbed 17 digs during the match, has tallied double-digit digs in four of her last five games.
- Dawson has tallied at least one service ace in each of her last five games and currently leads the conference in total aces with 30.
- With 14 kills, Ella White collected her second-straight double-digit kill game, tying her single-game career-high set on Sept. 14 against Bloomsburg.
- Erika Benson's five blocks top a career-high, previously set on Oct. 1 in the Owls game against American International. This was her fifth-straight game with three-or-more blocks in a match.
- Tea Carter has collected 30-or-more assists in 11 games this season and in six of her last seven matches.
- This was the second time this season Anna Venard has tallied more than 20 digs in a game. Her last 20-dig game was on Sept. 15 at Post when she had 22.

- Ella White currently leads Southern in kills (169) and kills per set (2.64) while also collected 19 service aces for the year.
- Abigail Epstein is leads the team with a .252 hitting percentage while accumulating 150 kills for a 2.34 per set average.
- Epstein is also fourth on the team with 18 service aces and leads the team in total blocks (34).
- Ariel Letcher is third on the team in kills (118) and third in kills per set (2.31) and is also averaging 2.45 digs per set.
- Tea Carter has dished out 506 assists to date for a 9.20 per set average. Carter is also tied for second on the Owls' roster with 19 service aces.
- Jennifer Dawson currently leads the Owls with 30 service aces while also averaging 1.58 kills per set and 3.34 digs per set.
- Anna Venard leads the Owls with 251 digs for a 3.92 per set average.
