Southern Connecticut men's soccer will travel to West Haven, Conn. to take on University of New Haven in a Northeast 10 Conference matchup on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 4 p.m.  The Owls will then host Franklin Pierce on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 4 p.m.

ALL-TIME AGAINST NEW HAVEN
  • Wednesday's game against New Haven will be the 55th meeting between the two teams with the Owls holding a commanding 40-10-4 record in the previous 54 games of the all-time series.
  • Southern is 31-0-3 in its last 34 games against New Haven, giving the Owls their longest active unbeaten streak against one team. Southern's last loss to New Haven came in 1984.

ALL-TIME AGAINST FRANKLIN PIERCE
  • Southern's all-time record against Franklin Pierce isn't nearly as lopsided as their run against UNH. The Owls own a 21-14-7 record against FPU all-time, including a 4-2-1 record over their last seven games.

THEIR LAST TIME OUT
  • Southern played just once last week, dueling nationally-ranked No. 1 Adelphi to a 1-1 tie at Jess Dow Field.
  • Andrey Carvalho stopped 6-of-7 shots on goal and Daniel Utgaard converted on a beautiful cross from Kevin Van der Pol for the Owls' only goal.

NOTES
  • Daniel Utgaard's goal against Adelphi put him in a tie for the most on the Owls' roster with Francisco Roldan.
  • Utgaard, Roldan, Devante Teixeira and Juan Avila give the Owls four players with multiple goals this season.
  • Teixeira also leads the Owls with four assists to go along with his two goals for a team-high eight points to date.
  • Kevin Van der Pol's assist on Utgaard's header against Adelphi was his second of the season.
  • Andrey Carvalho's .840 save percentage leads all NE10 goalkeepers and ranks 16th among all NCAA Division I keepers.
  • Teixeira's four assists also lead all NE10 student-athletes.
