Men's Soccer Falls to New Haven, 2-0

WEST HAVEN, Conn.  - The Southern Connecticut State University men's soccer team was dealt a 2-0 loss by University of New Haven in a Northeast 10 Conference matchup at Kathy Zolad Stadium. With the loss, Southern drops to 2-3-4 overall and 1-2-2 in conference play while the Chargers improve to 3-5-1 overall and 1-4-1 in conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Chargers jumped out to an early lead when Tiago Vintem scored in the fourth minute.
  • New Haven added another goal in the first half, courtesy of Sean Skeens, in the 43rdminute to give the Chargers a 2-0 lead. Alvaro Ezpeleta recorded the assist. 

UP NEXT
Southern is back in action on Saturday, Oct. 12 when it hosts Franklin Pierce in a Northeast 10 Conference matchup at 4 p.m. at Jess Dow Field.
