Men's Swimming & Diving Rolls To 156-122 Win Against Pace

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Southern Connecticut men's swimming & diving team defeated Pace, 156-122, in a dual meet at the Hutchinson Natatorium in New Haven, Conn.

Bryce Castellone won the 200 Yard Butterly, 200 Yard Breaststroke and 500 Yard Freestyle races while Chandler Tucker won the 100 Yard Freestyle 400 Yard Individual Medley. Andrew Buehler also won the 1 Meter and 3 Meter Diving events.

  • Andrew Buehler took the 3 Meter Diving event with a score of 307.00.

200 Yard Medley Relay
1000 Yard Freestyle
  • Evan Bombery took the 1000 Yard Freestyle event with a time of 10:09.00 while Michael Mendoca finished third at 11:00.58. Bombery's time was the Owls' second-fastest time of the year.

200 Yard Freestyle
  • Tyler Cusano won the 200 Yard Freestyle event with a time of 1:46.75 while Leonardo Laporte was second at 1:48.26 followed by Timothy Kanaley at 1:51.50.

100 Yard Backstroke
100 Yard Breaststroke
  • Mattew Widlar won the 100 Yard Breaststroke with a team-, season-best time of 1:02.50 while Colby Delia finished third at 1:04.83.
 
200 Yard Butterfly  
50 Yard Freestyle
  • Leo Laporte finished second with a time of 22.39 while Tyler Cusano was third at 22.48.
 
1 Meter Diving

  • Bryce Castellone took the 500 Yard Freestyle as well with a time of 4:48.01 while Evan Bombery was second at 5:00.30 – with both times registering as the two fastest times of the season for the Owls, while Timothy Kanaley was fourth at 5:14.35.

  • Leo Laporte won the 100 Yard Butterfly with a time of 52.06 while Scott Moore was fourth at 59.22.
