The Southern Connecticut State University women's basketball team will play their last home game of 2019 at Moore Field House when the Spartans of Saint Thomas Aquinas roll into New Haven for a non-conference matchup at 12:30 p.m. The Owls are coming off two-straight victories over conference opponent Saint Rose on Dec. 10 and non-conference opponent Chestnut Hill on Dec. 14.

The Last Time They Met: These two squads last faced each other on Jan 5 as the Spartans took a 67-59 decision over the Owls. Allie Smith '19 topped a career-high in points with 19, while shooting 67% from the field and going 5-for-6 from beyond the arc. Amanda Pfohl '19 notched 14 points, shooting 55% from the field and 57% from beyond the arc with three rebounds and two assists, while Imani Wheeler chipped in 10 points, six assists and a steal. Kiana Steinauer collected 20 boards, nine points, four steals, two assists and a game-high two blocks.
Last Time Out
- The Owls defeated Chestnut Hill, 68-59 on Dec. 14 at Moore Field House.
- Redshirt junior Jessica Fressle scored a team-high 21 points, while adding seven rebounds, two assists and a steal shooting 6-for-9 from the field and 3-for-3 from beyond the arc.
- Redshirt junior Ednaija Lassiter collected her first double-double of the season with 16 points and 14 rebounds, both career-highs.
- Senior Imani Wheeler added 14 points, a career-high seven rebounds, three assists and three steals.

Player Notes
- Kiana Steinauer is now up 1,065 career points, ranking 18th all-time in program history.
- Steinauer's 50 rebounds this season puts her seven away from breaking the 1,000 mark in rebounds. She previously broke 1,000 points in the Owls game against Bridgeport on Nov. 9.
- With four steals against New York Tech on Nov. 20, Imani Wheeler hit the 150 career steals marker. Her 33 steals this season put her at 169 career steals. She broke a career-high in the Owls game against AIC on Nov. 26 with eight.
- Alexa Kellner's five steals against New Haven was a career-high. Her previous career-high was on Nov. 9 against Bridgeport when she had two.
- Aaliyah Walker notched a career-high 12 rebounds against Saint Rose on Dec. 11. Her previous career-high was set on Nov. 25, 2018 when she had eight rebounds against Queens College.
- Ednaija Lassiter collected her first career double-double as an Owl with 16 points and 14 rebounds against Chestnut Hill on Dec. 14, both of which were career-highs. Both of her career-highs were set against Saint Rose on Dec. 10 when she collected 10 points and eight rebounds.
- Seven rebounds against Chestnut Hill are a career-high for Imani Wheeler. Her previous career-high was set on Dec. 4, 2018 against American International and was tied on three occasions during the 2018-19 season

- Imani Wheeler is first in the conference in steals per game with 3.6. She is first in total steals with 36.
- Jessica Fressle is sixth in the conference in total points with 153 and seventh in points per game with 15.3.
- Fressle is also tied for fourth in free throws, going 39-for-45 on the season and is fifth in free throw percentage of 86.7.
