The Southern Connecticut State University men's basketball team will play two Northeast 10 Conference road games this week. First, they will make the short drive over to University of New Haven to face the against the Chargers on Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 7:30 p.m, then play Le Moyne College in Syracuse, N.Y. on Saturday, Dec. 7 at 3 p.m.

All-Time Against New Haven: 42-47

The Last Time They Met: Both teams faced off against each other in the semifinals of the Northeast 10 Tournament in Charger Gymnasium on March 6, an 87-66 New Haven victory. C.J. Seaforth (Hamden, Conn.) had a game-high 26 points and went 6-12 from beyond the arc and 10-16 overall. Joey Wallace (Rochester, N.Y.) had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds and Kealen Ives (Providence R.I.) chipped in 12 points.  

All-Time Against Le Moyne: 19-24
The Last Time They Met: Southern defeated the Dolphins in overtime, 97-91, on Feb. 16, 2019 on the strength of a career-high 35 points scored from Isaiah McLeod (Cambridge, Mass.). Four other players scored in double figures, as Luke Beesley (Champaign, Ill.) scored 16 points, Ives scored 15, and Seaforth and Wallace added 11 each in the contest.

 
What You Need To Know
  • Southern will look to win their first conference game of the season after falling to American International College 82-76 on Nov. 26.
  • Seaforth has made at least five three's in two-consecutive games. 
  • Freshman Lyron Bennett (Boston, Mass.) made seven field goals in the contest for the second consecutive game, and has shot 14-for-26 (53.8 percent) from the field over the last two games. 
  • The Owls have shot 26-for-50 (52 percent) from beyond the arc over the last two games.
  • Southern has made 24 of their last 25 free throw attempts dating back to their game on Nov. 23 against Concordia. 
  • Seaforth was named to the NE10 Weekly Honor Roll for the third time in the season's first four weeks.
  • Among players that have made at least 2.5 per game and played in 75 percent of their teams' games, Seaforth ranks 12th nationally in three-point field goal percentage at 55.3 percent and is tied for 24th nationally in free throw percentage at 94.1 percent. 
  • The Owls rank seventh nationally in free throw percentage at 83.3 percent.
