The Southern Connecticut State University women's basketball team will face the Le Moyne College Dolphins on Saturday, Dec. 7 in Syracuse, N.Y. The Owls currently sit sixth in the Southwest Division of the NE10, while the Dolphins sit fifth.

All-Time Against Le Moyne: 26-13
The Last Time They Met: These two squads last faced each other on Feb. 16 as the Dolphins took a 75-55 victory over the Owls. 
Kiana Steinauer collected her 21st double-double of the year with a game-high 17 points and 10 rebounds to go along with five steals and two assists. Imani Wheeler collected 13 points and four assists.

Last Time Out
  • The Owls fell to the University of New Haven, 52-48 at Charger Gymnasium on Dec. 4.
  • Senior Imani Wheeler led the offense offense tallying a game-high 13 points, while chipping in four steals and three assists. Wheeler also shot 5-for-10 from the floor and 3-for-6 from the field.
  • Redshirt freshman Alexa Kellner notched 11 points, five steals, five rebounds and two assists.
  • Redshirt junior Jessica Fressle tallied 12 points and two steals
  • Senior Paula Tattari grabbed seven boards, two blocks and a steal.
  • Southern's 16 steals against New Haven was a season-high. Their previous season high was on Nov. 13 against Queens College when they 15.
 
Team Notes
  • The Owls are second in the NE10 in steals per game with an average of 11.6.
  • Southern Connecticut is fourth in the conference in three-pointers made with 53 on the season.

Player Notes
  • Kiana Steinauer is now up 1,065 career points, ranking 18th all-time in program history.
  • Steinauer's 50 rebounds this season puts her seven away from breaking the 1,000 mark in rebounds. She previously broke 1,000 points in the Owls game against Bridgeport on Nov. 9.
  • With four steals against New York Tech on Nov. 20, Imani Wheeler hit the 150 career steals marker and now has 164 career. She broke a career-high in the Owls game against AIC on Nov. 26 with eight.
  • Alexa Kellner's five steals against New Haven was a career-high. Her previous career-high was on Nov. 9 against Bridgeport when she had two.

  • Imani Wheeler is first in the conference in steals per game with 4.0. She is tied for first with Adelphi's Katie Murphy in total steals with 28. Wheeler is also fifth in three-pointers per game with a 2.3 average.
  • Kiana Steinauer is second in the conference in steals with 17.
